Speaking of Women’s Health is proud of its four national spokeswomen who enhance and improve the lives of women with their efforts.

National Honorary Chair Florence Henderson, and Universal Sisters spokeswomen Valerie Simpson, Mary Wilson and Dottie Peoples are four dynamic women who are dedicated to “educating women to make informed decisions about their health, well-being and personal safety,” and Speaking of Women’s Health is honored to have their support.

“My mission is to encourage women to act now to protect their bones – the foundation to their health, beauty and vitality. I want to encourage women that aging is a beautiful process if you take care of yourself and your spirit.” - Florence Henderson

Florence Henderson, “America's favorite TV mom,” joined forces with Speaking of Women's Health as National Honorary Chair in 2001.

In her role as National Honorary Chair, Florence works with Speaking of Women's Health to further the mission to educate women to make informed decisions about their health, well-being and personal safety, in turn ‘saving lives through education.’ Florence Henderson can be seen on Lifetime’s Speaking of Women's Health, a talk magazine show on Lifetime’s Real Women network. The show airs every weekday morning from 9-10 a.m. EST. She also attends the National Conference.

“Speaking of Women's Health provides women with essential information on caring for themselves and their bodies as they age,” says Florence. “That, along with their efforts to educate women about the dangers of osteoporosis – a disease that I was diagnosed with several years ago – led me to hook up with the organization.”

Dottie Peoples’ name embodies the spirit of who she is - a ‘people’ person who continually reaches out to others to uplift, encourage, and inspire.

Speaking of Women's Health and Universal Sisters welcomes award-winning gospel singer Dottie Peoples as our newest Celebrity Spokeswoman.

Dottie Peoples is one of the most well-loved, respected, and honored vocalists in the gospel industry. She sings through the rafters and fills a concert hall with vibrant energy and genuine class.

Dottie has being inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and has earned numerous nominations and awards. Such accolades could remove Dottie from those she loves the most, the people, but that’s not the case. Dottie’s reputation for warmth and compassion precedes her and when fans approach her, she embraces them with the love and sincerity of a close friend.

Her ministry is people. She is quick to give credit for her notoriety to those who have helped her to rise to public acclaim and speaks tirelessly of her desire to reach others.
